It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to the Department of Human Resource Management & Organisational Behaviour (HRM & OB) at the School of Business Studies. The Department offers Integrated BBA–MBA, MBA, and Ph.D. in Management, with a focus on developing capable professionals, responsible leaders, and research-oriented thinkers.
Our approach to management education goes beyond the classroom. We seek to develop critical thinkers, data-driven decision-makers, effective communicators, entrepreneurs, and future leaders who can respond confidently to a rapidly changing business environment. With Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, automation, analytics, and other new-age technologies transforming organisations and the nature of work, our pedagogy combines contemporary management knowledge with technology-enabled and experiential learning.
The Department has a strong industry and practice orientation. The MBA programme provides students with two distinct industry engagements: a Summer Internship after the second semester and On-the-Job Training (OJT) in the fourth semester. This enables students to apply their learning in real organisational settings, build workplace competencies, and gain meaningful insights into their career pathways.
The Integrated BBA–MBA programme offers a seamless progression from foundational business education to advanced management learning, while the Ph.D. in Management fosters rigorous research on contemporary managerial, organisational, technological, and societal challenges. At the Department of HRM & OB, we believe that the managers of tomorrow must combine business acumen with technological awareness, human understanding, ethical judgement, and social responsibility. Our endeavour is therefore to prepare students not only for the jobs of today, but to lead and create value in the evolving world of Industry 4.0 and beyond.
