On November 28, 2025, the Centre for Comparative Religions and Civilizations (CCRC) at the Central University of Jammu organized an educational field visit to the historic town of Purmandal, popularly as "Chhota Kashi".
It is a site of immense spiritual, archaeological, and cultural significance in the Jammu region.
The primary objective of this trip was to provide students with a first-hand information on religious architecture, the significance of the Devika River in local theology, and also the intersection of various cultural influences that have shaped the civilization of the Duggar region.
