The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Central University of Jammu, organized an insightful expert talk on: Role of IEEE to Enhance Academic and Professional Growth on 07 Feb 2025, under the guidance of Dr. Dinesh Kumar, HoD, CSE and coordination of Dr. Suresh Limkar, Event Coordinator and faculty member. The session featured Mr. Ramneek Karla, Execom member IEEE Delhi Section, IEEE Impact Creator, who shared his valuable insights on the global impact and advantages of being part of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers).
The session, held at the university’s Brigadier Rajinder Singh Auditorium, aimed to introduce students, faculty, and professionals to the immense potential IEEE holds in shaping their academic journey and career. As the world’s largest technical professional organization, IEEE provides an unparalleled platform for students and professionals to foster innovation, enhance technical skills, and build a robust network.
Mr. Karla’s talk emphasized several key aspects such as, establishment & overview of IEEE, its vision, services offered by IEEE, benefits of IEEE to the students, importance of professional development, networking. Mr. Karla elaborated on being an IEEE student member, students will get an exposures to industry experts, collaborate on projects, write & publish research paper and connect with a global network of like-minded individuals. These connections can open doors to internships, job opportunities, and collaborations that enrich one’s career.
The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, where Mr. Karla addressed queries from students and faculty, offering valuable career advice and encouragement for actively engaging with IEEE’s resources.
