The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Jain blessed NCC Cadets of Central University of Jammu for participating in Annual Training Camp organised at NCC Camping Ground, Nagrota from 29th of May, 2022 to 7th of June, 2022. Prof  Jain congratulated the cadets for their outstanding performance  in the camp and shared with them his vision about various upcoming initiatives to be taken in the University for the welfare of the students including better NCC related facilities The cadets of Central University of Jammu participated in various activities along  with another 56 other  institutions from J&K.  The NCC camp in which about  500 cadets of Jammu division  wholeheartedly participated in varied activities as per the requirement of the programme . The cadets were segregated into 5 companies to undertake various physical and leadership  tasks . The cadets from Central University of Jammu were grouped in Delta CO’y and accordingly reflected their best performance. The group leader  Shubham Sharma of Central University of Jammu was appointed as Camp Senior among all cadets of 4 j&k Bn NCC.

The cadets took part in both theory, practical sessions as well as focused on personality development and had glimpse of armed forces skills. They were taught about the virtues of endurance, positivity, bearing, uprightness, work, and crisis management skills. They were also taught about map reading, weapon training, health & hygiene , first aid and well-being.

In shooting competition 3 cadets, SUO Shubham Sharma, Cadet Mohd. Daler Khan and Cadet Nikhil Yadav of Central University of Jammu took part on behalf of Delta CO’y and brought laurels by winning first rank among all another CO’y and won gold medals.

In Cultural Competition 8 cadets of Central University of Jammu participated and bagged 8 Gold medals by winning the Cultural competition and stand first. The most outstanding achievement of the cadets has been their selection in the  All India Thal Sainik Camp to be held during  July 2022 in Delhi. While congratulating the cadets, Prof. Jain inspired them to work hard to achieve their best and work for the welfare of society and Nation as a whole. He also congratulated Dr J N Baliya HoD Deptt. of Educational ,Central University of Jammu for the initiatives taken for the students in the Department  Prof Jain also added that the cadets from CUJ will be provided opportunities to visit and participate in the national events.
