Central University of Jammu commemorated the 8^th Anniversary of POSH Act

Replicating the nationwide commemoration of the eight anniversary of the landmark Legislation undertaken by Ministry of Women and Child Development, the Gender Sensitization Committee Against Sexual Harassment of Central University of Jammu organised an Awareness Programme on ‘Sexual Harassment at Workplace ( Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013’ in Brigadier Rajinder Singh auditorium on 9^th December, 2021.  Ms. Swati Gupta, Sub Judge, Judicial Academy, High Court of Jammu was the resource person and conducted a session on ‘Gender Sensitization & Sexual Harassment at Workplace ( Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013’, wherein she made the participants aware of the entrenched insensitivity which goes unnoticed and highlighted the legal framework for delinquent employees with special focus on Gender Sensitization & Sexual Harassment at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013’. The session was followed by question-answer session. Earlier, Dr. Vandana Sharma, Incharge Chairperson, GSCASH and Head Department of English welcomed the speakers and conducted an ice breaking session pertaining gender sensitization and its relevance in present times. The members of GSCASH present in the session were Dr. Neelika Arora, Dr. Ritu Bakshi. Dr. Vinita presented the formal vote of thanks.
