UBIC, Central University of Jammu, Organises a lecture on Health Entrepreneurship

University Business Incubation Centre (UBIC) of Central University of Jammu, organised awareness program on Entrepreneurial skills in the health sector. This was the sixth lecture of the series being conducted by the centre on the initiative of the Vice Chancellor, CUJ Prof Ashok Aima, for creating awareness on Entrepreneurship in the state of Jammu & Kashmir.


Mr. S.K Jain, President Vichar Kranti Manch and patron, Yog Sansthan was the key speaker on the occasion. Mr. Jain emphasised on expansion of mental faculties through physical well being. He stated the relevance of well being as an important precursor for a successful entrepreneurial sustenance. Dr. D.L Chaudhary, Incharge, Yoga centre, Central University of Jammu, reiterated the significance of Yog as an important aspect of psychological and emotional enrichment. He said that yoga and meditation have become imperative factors for balancing quality of life.


Earlier, Dr. Jaya Bhasin Chairperson UBIC formally welcomed the gathering and informed that seven ideas have been registered under UBIC till date. She apprised that UBIC is active in generating awareness about Innovation and Incubation, wherein during last academic session, various awareness workshops were conducted. She further informed that this lecture series are being conducted for both the campuses i.e. TAB (Temporary Academic Block) and main campus Raya Suchani, Bagala, where Dr Pankaj Mehta is the coordinator at Bagla and Dr Shahid Mushtaq shall coordinate the activities at TAB. She also informed that the Vice Chancellor has announced Rs 25,000/- cash award to the best idea and also complete financial support to the business idea submitted to UBIC for entrepreneurial support.


Formal vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Asif Ali, Asst. Prof HRM & OB and the event was coordinated by Mr. Ranjit Raman, Asst. Prof. TTM. All the faculty members, research scholars and students attended the awareness program.
