‘The Constitution Day’ was celebrated by Central University of Jammu at its main Campus Rahya-Suchani (Bagla) Distt. Samba (J & K) on 26th November, 2015. Sh. Jit Singh, Registrar, Central University of Jammu read out the Preamble on the occasion. In his lecture, the Registrar highlighted the meaning and significance of the Preamble to the audience besides focusing on various important provisions as enshrined in the Constitution and articulated through its Preamble. He also highlighted the contribution of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar in the enactment of Constitution of India. Referring to various Supreme Court Judgments, he emphasised that the Preamble is an integral part of the Constitution of India. The function was attended by Prof. H.S. Sehgal, HOD Dept. of Environmental Sciences, Dr. G.K. Sehgal, Associate Professor, Dept of EVS, Ms Shafla Parihar, Deputy Registrar, Officers, Faculty members, Staff and students of the University.

Sh. Shailender Slathia, Assistant Registrar (Legal Cell), conducted the proceeding on the occasion. Vote of thanks was presented by Sh. Mohammad Iqbal, Deputy Registrar.
