CUJ gets 103.25 crores for road connectivity

Jammu, 24 Sept: In order to gear up the construction of upcoming campus of Central University of Jammu, Central Government has sanctioned special grant of Rs. 103.25 crores for the varsity. 

The Ministry of Road Transport, Highway & Shipping, Government of India in its letter dated 12th September, 2015 has sanctioned a one-time special grant of Rs. 103.25 crores in favour of Central University of Jammu to cover all the three phases of road expansion & construction of Railway fly-over enabling the CUJ to become a full-fledged residential campus. The said ministry has acceded the request of Vice Chancellor of Central University of Jammu in his letter dated 8th August, 2015 and sanctioned the said amount without any hassle.  

Prof. Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor, CUJ has expressed his gratitude towards the Government of India and particularly the Ministry of Road Transport, Highway & Shipping for its financial support to accelerate the Central University campus and its road connectivity.

Prof. Ashok Aima has assured that pace of construction of the upcoming Central University of Jammu campus will go fast and there will not be any further delay and hoped that Government of India and J&K state government will provide all kind of assistance in order to build the campus at the earliest.
