Swami Vivekananda Chair and office of Dean Students’ Welfare, Central University of Jammu, celebrated the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda (National Youth Day) at Temporary Academic Block, Central University of Jammu. On this occasion, Essay Competition was held in which 25 participants have participated.  The competition was coordinated by Prof. S. K. Sharma (Swami Vivekananda Chair) and  Dr. Vikas Srivastava (Assistant Dean Students’ Welfare, TAB). Dr. Baccha Babu (Assistant Professor, Mass Communication & New Media) and Dr. Jeet Singh (Assistant Professor, English) evaluated the scripts.  Essay written by Mr. Ankit (Chemistry) and Miss Aisha Shabir (Zoology) were selected for first and second prize, respectively. The third prize was shared by Miss Neha Bloria (PPPA) and Miss Garima Sharma (English). Welcome address of presentation ceremony was delivered by Prof. S.K. Sharma. Professor Ashok Aima, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jammu presided the presentation ceremony. In his speech, he spoke about the teaching of Swami Vivekananda and inspires students to follow them. The programme was attended by Prof. S.D. Sharma,        Prof.  S. K. Khosa, Prof. N. K. Tripathi, Central University of Jammu, along with faculty, staff and students of Central University of Jammu. The vote of thanks was presented by Prof. S. K. Sharma.
