Dr. Radhakrishnan Koppillil, Former Chairman ISRO interacted with faculty of CUJ

Dr. Radhakrishnan Koppillil, an advisor of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and Department of Science & Technology, Government of India along with his ex- colleague, Dr. K L Handoo visited at Temporary Academic Block (TAB), Central University of Jammu here today.
Dr. Radhakrishnan interacted with faculty members and students of the university and during his interaction he talked about present and future scenario of Indian Space Programs.
He explained about the level difficulties he felt during MARS-mission and how his team overcome it. His major focus was on the space exploration, techniques and applications specially in context to Himalayan region. He congratulated our honourable vice chancellor, Prof. Ashok Aima, Central University of Jammu for establishing Centre for Space Sciences and M. Tech programme in Space Sciences & Applications from next academic session.
Speaking on the this occasion, Dr. K L Handoo emphasised on different types of Launching pad for PSLV, GSLV and others. He also helped in designing course structure of M. Tech programme in Space Sciences & Applications.
Prof. Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor of CUJ, has also emphasized on Nano Sciences and Molecular sciences in context to space technology. He informed the audience about various science and technological courses started since last one year.
Earlier, Prof. S K Khosa, Head Department of Nano Sciences and Materials welcomed the distinguished guest and informed to the audience about the development of Nano Sciences and Materials.
The auditorium was full with esteemed academics e.g. Prof. Anju Bhasin (VC, Cluster University, Jammu) and all other Deans and Heads of different departments and students of CUJ.
