CUJ NSS Volunteers Attending National Adventure Camp at Manali

As part of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports initiative, 10 Volunteers from National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Central University of Jammu (CUJ) have been selected to participate in the adventure camp to be held at Manali from 21st October to 30thOctober. This nine day camp will have NSS Volunteers from all over India. This camp will include the activities like mountaineering, climbing, trekking, white water rafting, river crossing and other allied sports. Atal Bihari Vajpayee institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports (ABVIMAS) is organizing this camp.

The volunteers met with the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ashok Aima along with the programme coordinator Dr.J.Jeganaathan who later briefed the VC about various activities of the camp and mentioned it is first time that NSS volunteers of CUJ are participating in such camps.

While blessing the students Prof. Aima urged the students to make use of this opportunity which would help them in character building and personality development when their ability is put to task. He also motivated the students to participate regularly in these types of activities.

The volunteers from various departments attending the camp includes Manik Jain (Deptt. Of NSS), Aditya Sharma (Deptt. Of PPPA), Showkat Mir (Deptt. Of Education), K.Sai Ram (Deptt. Of Nano Science), Narinder Kumar (Deptt. Of MBA-HRM), Neha Bharti (Deptt. Of Social Work), Charanpreet Kaur (Deptt. Of MCA), U.S. Lima (Deptt. Of MCNM), Madhu (Deptt. Of EVS), Divya Anand (Deptt. Of Maths).
